Hello
This past weekend I had the chance to accompany my husband, a pilot, on a private jet trip to Exuma Island in The Bahamas. While I loved the beautiful turquoise water and white sandy beaches, at times I felt like there was something lacking - I missed the diversity that many other places offer.
Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Belize, Mexico, and even the Dominican Republic, also have Caribbean beaches, but they offer so much more. There are rainforests, Mayan ruins, indigenous communities, hiking trails, adventure activities, and lots of wildlife ... so if it pours with rain all day and there's no beach to lie on, you still have so many other things to do and places to explore.
Take a look at our new blog article below outlining many different day tours being offered from Panama City. Reach out to me when you are ready to explore!
Safe travels

Best Day Tours from Panama City
When it comes to taking a break from the city, Panama’s subtropical latitude and climate mean that there is a wealth of idyllic destinations within easy reach of the capital. Panama‘s capital city has a lot of things to do but is also an excellent starting point for day tours into the surroundings of Panama City, Panama.
From “Monkey Island” to paradise beaches, here are some of the best day tours from Panama City.
Belize
ELLE Escapes: Belize
If you need an escape, might we humbly suggest Belize? Located on the east coast of Central America, nestled against the Caribbean Sea, you’ll find the sparsely populated country—the only one without a coastline on the Pacific Ocean. The scenery is a given, but there’s so much, much more. Though Belize is still quite young, having only celebrated 40 years of independence in September, it’s a place to experience. Minutes upon arrival, you’ll find yourself immersed in a culture that is ancient, flavorful, and so very vibrant.
As a whole, the country is casual and laid back. You can skip out on packing your fancier belongings and instead fill your itinerary with a mix of adventure and rejuvenation. Spelunking and a spa day? We’re talking mind, body, and soul. Adrenaline junkies and nature lovers can faun over zip-lining excursions or visit 1,000 Foot Falls.

This Luxury Hotel Coming to Central America Is Located Within a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Sofitel Legend will open its first property in a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Panama City this December.
Nestled between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, Panama has miles of pristine beaches as well as lush mountains (where the world's most expensive coffee is grown). The Central American country, known for the famous Panama Canal, is emerging as a leading luxury destination. And this December, its capital will welcome another luxe property that will mark a legendary brand's North and Central American debut. We are talking about Sofitel Legend, which has chosen the historic district of Casco Viejo in Panama City for the setting of its next global address. The forthcoming Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo Panama will be the brand's sixth property, and the first in North and Central America.
How a Former Penal Colony in Panama Became a Biodiversity Hotspot
For decades, Coiba Island was inhabited by prisoners. Now, scientists and adventurous tourists visit a national park teeming with wildlife.
In fact, Coiba is often called “Panama’s own Galapagos,” thanks to the large number of endemic species that lived and thrived here over the years with relatively little human interference. This past November, researchers actually proved that Coiba is connected to the Galapagos through a 900-mile natural “pipeline” in the Earth’s mantle, making the nickname even more appropriate.
