Belize has a comfortable subtropical climate that is suitable for year-round travel. The average annual temperature is about 80°F with humidity hovering at about 85%. The coolest winter temperatures can reach as low as 60°F, which sounds rather appealing right now.

Mask wearing is no longer mandated in outdoor spaces.
Bars and Nightclubs are now allowed to operate, and restaurants are fully reopened.

All foreign tourists entering Belize will have the option to purchase Belize travel insurance. It is no longer mandatory.
And of course, since June 12, returning US residents and citizens no longer have to present a negative COVID test upon arrival!

Belize is full of treasures just waiting to be discovered and experienced. On a Belize family vacation, families will love the range of activities available including hiking, ziplining, kayaking, snorkeling, paddle-boarding, fishing, and incredible wildlife viewing. Belize is an English-speaking country, making it easier for interactions between residents and visitors.
Families can enjoy eco-tours, exploration in the jungle, and beach time in San Pedro. San Pedro Town is in the southern part of Ambergris Caye, in northern Belize. Its sandy streets are lined with wooden houses, seafood restaurants, and beach bars.

As the oldest protected area in Belize, Half Moon Caye sits on Lighthouse Reef in the Caribbean Sea and is the easternmost island of Belize. Its more popular sister, Ambergris Caye, is considerably north.
What does this mean for the traveler who ventures to Half Moon Caye? It means pristine, clean, untainted, natural beauty everywhere you look.
This Tropical Paradise Is Home to One of the World's Largest Reefs — Here's How to Plan an Unforgettable Trip
From mangrove swamps to mountains, jungles, beaches, rainforests, and wildlife, Belize is known for its biodiversity. Ancient Mayan ruins, remote islands, waterfalls, and the world's second largest barrier reef attract visitors to the country's natural beauty.
English is the official language of Belize, and visitors will also hear the local Kriol language spoken. Once called British Honduras, the country's name was changed in 1973, and it became fully independent in 1981. U.S. dollars are widely accepted, and currently, two Belizean dollars are equivalent to one U.S. dollar. Flights arrive at the main airport near Belize City, and from there, visitors reach their destinations by local flights, boat, or vehicle.
Located on Central America's northeastern coast just south of Mexico, Belize borders the Caribbean Sea and consists of a diverse mainland area and about 450 islands called "cays" or "cayes" (pronounced "keys"). Belize is home to the largest cave system in Central America and the Belize Barrier Reef, the second largest coral reef in the world.

There's no better place to do some serious soul-searching than while swinging in a hammock on the beach, feeling a cool breeze upon your face with absolutely nothing to do and nowhere to go.

First vacation since COVID? What to bring and what to leave behind.
You're probably carrying too much baggage. And as you prepare for your first post-pandemic vacation, maybe you need to lose a few things before you leave.
They include your pandemic inhibitions, old travel habits – and even your boundaries. In fact, downsizing may be the most overlooked travel trend of 2022.
"People want to rid themselves of anything that reminds them of the difficulty and tragedy of the pandemic," says Jeff Galak, an associate professor of marketing at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business. "They want anything but to be reminded of the pandemic, and big changes in behavior can help with that."
When major transitions in life occur, people hit a "reset" button. Galak says it feels as though a new chapter in their lives is starting.
