Hello
Summer is finally here, and long may it last! We have big travel plans, and I hope you do too. In the pursuit of an endless summer, today’s spotlight country is Costa Rica!
This September is an important month, as Costa Rica will be celebrating 200 years of independence from Spain, and all the more reason for you to celebrate is that it’s considered a quiet month for tourism, as are October and November. These months signal the end of “Green Season”, and visitors can enjoy the national parks to their maximum, avoiding long queues and noisy crowds on trails making it much easier to spot the vibrant wildlife.
Thanks to Costa Rica’s microclimates, the Caribbean Coast experiences its summer months in September and October ☀️. The ocean is calm and the weather hot and sunny. The same can be said for Panama's Bocas del Toro islands which are just over the border from Costa Rica and can easily be combined with a visit to Costa Rica's Caribbean coast.
Reese Witherspoon “felt like a new person” after visiting Costa Rica. Learn more about her visit, and follow in her footsteps by scrolling down and exploring the luxury resort she stayed at which is the Hotel Spotlight in this edition of “Let’s Go Places”.
After having mentioned all that, make sure to take advantage of the quiet and less expensive low season. Contact me today. I'd be delighted to assist you with your vacation plans and look forward to hearing from you.
Safe travels

Reese Witherspoon knows how to travel in the lap of luxury.
The Academy Award winner, 46, recently returned from a three-night stay in the rainforests of Costa Rica, where she enjoyed a trip with the girls at Hacienda AltaGracia, Auberge Resorts Collection.
"3 incredible days in Costa Rica with the most amazing women. I feel like a new person!" Her visit included a hike through the rainforest, swimming in the river, a visit to the spa, and sampling some local coffee.
The Hacienda AltaGracia is a luxury resort that also operates as a coffee farm, offering 50 hacienda-style casitas along with an unbeatable selection of wellness amenities and local sites to explore, all nestled in the mountains of Pérez Zeledón.
7 Beautiful Costa Rica Beach Resorts for Surfing, Swimming, and Sunbathing
These Costa Rica beach resorts are paradise — pure and simple.
Costa Rica is an endlessly beautiful place with blue skies, epic swells, and biodiverse terrain. Cloud forests, emerald mountains, lush jungles, sandy beaches, and bioluminescent bays make it a playground for outdoor adventure, nature travel, and ecotourism. Zip lining, chasing waterfalls, and volcano treks have a place in any well-crafted Costa Rica itinerary, as do surfing, snorkeling, and soaking up every sun-splashed second on the stunning stretches of Pacific and Caribbean coastline.
Keen on doing a dedicated beach vacation or simply want to tack on a few days of sun and surf after inland exploration and snoozing at a tree-shrouded eco-lodge? When you're deciding where to spend the night, the happiest nation in Central America has some amazing options — from big-name properties that preside over private crescents to more boutique stays right on the sand.
The Costa Rica beach resorts ahead invite visitors to experience the true meaning of pura vida.
This Laid-back Beach Town in Costa Rica Has Beautiful Beaches, World-class Surfing, and Stunning Sunsets
Santa Teresa is the perfect place to surf, do yoga, and relax.
As a laid-back beach town on Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula, it has been on my list of places to visit for quite a while. I've long felt drawn to its palm-fringed beaches, surf culture, and pura vida spirit.
So, when COVID-19 restrictions began to lift as my son's first birthday loomed on the horizon, it felt like it was meant to be. To me, travel is the greatest gift. Instead of a birthday party, I thought it would be a good idea to take my son, Miles, to Santa Teresa for an entire month — and with the stars seemingly aligned, we did just that.
