Hello
Spring is officially here and it seems to have awoken the wanderlust of many! I have been as busy as a hummingbird with two tails creating itineraries for new and returning customers.
I am especially excited about a 5-country-tour TropiQ Trips recently booked for a family: They start off in Belize, then head to Guatemala, fly from there into Nicaragua, travel south to Costa Rica, and finish off in beautiful Panama - which just happens to be today's spotlight. And of course, along the way, they'll be visiting the Caribbean and Pacific Oceans, hiking volcanoes, visiting waterfalls and Mayan ruins, and so much more. All they have to do is pack their suitcases! We've got it all organized for them: transfers, rental cars, hotel nights, excursions, ...

Hyatt Opens New Hotel in Panama’s Old City
Hyatt’s Unbound Collection has debuted its first hotel in the Caribbean Basin: the new Hotel Hotel La Compañía, set in the heart of Panama City’s charming old city.
The new hotel in the Casco Viejo quarter is anchored by a building first used as a Jesuit convent in 1688.
It’s an “architectural masterpiece centered around three periods in the hotel’s history – French Colonial, Spanish Colonial, and Beaux-Arts,” the company says.

How to Visit Panama's San Blas Islands
There are 365 pieces of paradise scattered in the Caribbean, just off the coast of Panama: the San Blas Islands. More than 300 of them are uninhabited, all are coated in coconut palms, and most are too small for Google maps to bother with.
The Kuna (or Guna), a tribe indigenous to Panama, run the islands and have fiercely protected the land, their culture, and their independence. That means no hotels, no chain restaurants, no foreign-owned anything. The best way to find a cell phone signal is by hunting for it on a dinghy.

Whether you want to hike, river raft, camp, or spend some time in one of the best bird-watching destinations in the Central American region, the Chiriqui highlands are a playground for all sorts of adventures.

Central Hotel Panama Casco Viejo | Hotel in Panama City
Central Hotel Panama was built nearly 150 years ago in the heart of Panama City, facing the beautiful Plaza de la Independencia in Casco Viejo (Old Town). It is one of many historic buildings recognized by UNESCO for its architectural significance within the Casco Antiguo a designated World Heritage Site in Panama City.
It was the first hotel in the country at the time of its opening in 1874 and quickly became a meeting place for intrepid travelers. Our clientele has included the French builders who constructed the Panama Canal, U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt and Count Ferdinand de Lesseps.
Located on the roof of Central Hotel Panama a pool is waiting for you. This gorgeous facility features unbeatable views of Casco Viejo, plus a poolside lounge bar for refreshing cocktails and snacks.
