3 Incredible Costa Rica Road Trip Ideas | TropiQ Trips
Costa Rica is a land of great wildlife, volcanoes, rain and cloud forests, huge waterfalls, and mighty rivers. It occupies a privileged spot with beaches in the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. One of the best ways to experience Costa Rica’s diversity is on a road trip.
Some of the most interesting, little-explored destinations are only accessible by car, and for the adventurous traveler, there is simply no substitute for freedom. In some cases, the drive itself – and all the striking scenery along the way – becomes a highlight of your Costa Rica road trip.
Also, you experience the country beyond typical tourism by renting a car and hitting the road to explore the many sights of Costa Rica.
“You haven’t lived unless you’ve had at least one road trip in a tropical country.”

This tiny country is one of the most biodiverse countries on earth. On this Costa Rica self-drive tour, you will get the chance to see many different types of animals, plants, and insects in their natural habitat.
We have planned a trip that takes you to some of Costa Rica’s most unique regions – each with its own characteristics, weather, wildlife, and people.
This trip was specially put together for the enjoyment of kids in mind. There are many opportunities to see animals, as well as tours and activities that will certainly entertain your children.
The hotels were chosen because of their family-friendly service and facilities. Costa Ricans (or ‘’Ticos’’ as they are commonly referred to) are known for their positive attitude and friendly ways, which can be summarised in their favorite expression: Pura Vida.

Buzzy Nicoya Peninsula Is Costa Rica's Natural Haven for Creatives
Just 140 miles from the capital, San José, and a motorboat hop from San Lucas is the Nicoya Peninsula, where, over the past two decades, locals and an international nomadic crowd have come together to create a community of nature-loving forward-thinkers. Their home, a verdant limb in the country's northwest, has a string of beautiful beaches and a handful of townships where pura vida (the national mantra for living a simple life) is second nature.
From Tamarindo (a.k.a. Tama) down to Santa Teresa and Malpais are beautifully designed villas and small hotels, surf shacks and schools, artist and craft studios, restaurants championing Costa Rican cuisine, and beachside bars where DJs mix salsa, soca, and calypso.
Latin America
A Country-by-Country Guide to Central and South American Travel Restrictions
As a region, the Americas have been especially hard-hit by COVID-19, with South America home to some of the worst outbreaks in the world. Four of the top 15 worst outbreaks have taken place on the continent—in Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, and Peru—leading to drastic lockdowns and border closures. In Central America, the outbreaks were less severe, though economies shut down in much the same way—some, by choice, others, like Nicaragua, simply because international carriers shut off flight routes.
Read on for the current travel restrictions in Central America and South America, from mandatory quarantines to pre-testing requirements. This guide currently covers 15 countries in the region, and we will be updating this regularly.

Everyday Travelers on How to Spark the Spirit of Travel from Anywhere
There’s no sugarcoating it: Travel buffs have had a lot to cope with over the past year. Those who would venture near and far for that sweet sense of freedom have instead been confronted with a new normal defined by strict stay-at-home orders, ongoing border restrictions, and safety precautions. Yet, a year after the pandemic’s onset, adventurers have come to realize that travel, in fact, endures as a state of mind. Continue reading here:

Which countries welcome American vacationers – and which are safest to visit?
Well, "safe" is a relative term. After all, compared with the U.S. tally of more than 26.4 million cases and 448,000 deaths, every other country has a lower infection rate. We've focused on destinations open to Americans where new COVID-19 cases were generally declining and in the low-three-digit range (or lower) per day for the past month. Thankfully, travelers won't have to go far since most are in the Caribbean. Though the countries don't require tourists to quarantine, many require a negative coronavirus test.
We've noted each country's travel advisory level from the U.S. State Department and CDC. The latter has classified many countries as Level 4, citing a high risk of COVID-19.
Guide to State Quarantine Rules for Travelers
To keep the coronavirus outbreak from spreading through their regions, many states are asking or requiring some or all out-of-state visitors to self-quarantine for 10 days to two weeks upon arrival.
Earlier this month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced new quarantine guidelines for those who have been vaccinated: People who have received both doses of either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine will no longer be required to quarantine after being exposed to someone with COVID-19.
Vaccine passports: Everything we know about Covid travel plans | CN Traveller
Digital vaccination certificates may be available in time for the summer holidays. Here’s what we know:
As the name suggests, this would be proof that the holder has been vaccinated against Covid, allowing them to move freely between countries once more. It’s an idea that’s been kicking around for a while, but with the rising numbers of British people being vaccinated, it’s one that’s gathering momentum.
